1.Do I need a GMAT score?

We highly recommend GMAT for applications toall our Finance related courses and in particular the MSc in Finance. It will greatlystrengthen your application and will be a useful qualification to add to yourCV when entering the work place following your postgraduate studies. We would look for a well-balanced score over 600 with all sections marked at aminimum of 50%.

    It would beadvisable for candidates to submit a copy of the GMAT report with theirapplication. Students who do not submit a GMAT with their application may beasked to sit the GMAT and achieve a score above a specified threshold as acondition of entry. The GMAT is required for all applicants toMSc Management.

2.Do I need work experience?

Please refer toindividual course information pages on the website. In general, work experience is seen as an advantage (where relevant,national service is also taken into account).

3.How long will it take to receive a decisionon my application?

We endeavour to makea decision within six weeks.

4.Can I apply before I havemy final degree results?

You can applybefore you have your final degree results but we will require an interimtranscript showing your grades to date. We may then make you a conditionaloffer. If you are made an offer, we would then need to see the original orcertified copy of the final transcript in order to upgrade your offer tounconditional.

5.Who should my letters ofrecommendation be from?

Ideally, at least one reference should be from anacademic. If you have been away from academia for more than five years we will accept twoprofessional references. Please note that references from fellow students,family and friends are not acceptable.

6.Can my referees sendreferences by email?

Yes, provided itis sent from the academic or professional email address of the referee. If weare unable to verify the email address online we will ask for an original referenceto be sent by post in an envelope that has been signed and sealed by thereferee.

7.Do I need to write a personal statement whenI apply?

Yes, you will be asked to submit a personal statement whenyou apply online. This can either be written in the allocated field on theapplication form or you can upload your statement as a supporting document. Werecommend that the personal statementshould be around 500-600 words. It shouldaddress your motivation for applying for the course and how you believe thecourse will assist you to reach your future career goals.
