我想问，如果选B ,
高亮的they 到底是指代industrialization and modem methods of insect control 还是 chemical pollutants ???

chemical pollutants

while的主语是industrialization....., 不可能since的主语还是industrialization,没有这种状语结构。

而且while里面有一个时间状语 at the same time怎么可能再用 since来修饰。这两个状语如果看成是 industirialization的修饰的话，时间冲突。

個人認為
從一個句子的順序性來看
chemical pollutants that have gone virtually unregulated since they were developed more than 50 years ago

->they 就近形容前面的主詞

Industrialization and modern methods of insect control have improved the standard of living around the globe while at the same time introducing some 100,000 dangerous chemical pollutants that have gone virtually unregulated since they were developed more than 50 years ago

=>they 若要形容最遠的 metods

以上比較, 我想就進形容會比較恰當

但, 如果就您所說的符合邏輯與異的部份, 我想如果把since they... 搬到前面:
Industrialization and modern methods of insect control, since they were developed more than 50 years ago, have improved the standard of living around the globe while at the same time introducing some 100,000 dangerous chemical pollutants that have gone virtually unregulated.

這是不是可以符合您要的語意邏輯同時又滿足就進指代的文章順序性?

仔细想了想这题，觉的they在这可以指代dangerous chemical pollutants

这句话可翻成，

昆虫控制的工业化以及现代化的方法在提高了居住环境的同时带来了100，000多种危险的化工污染物，这些污染物未受管理因为它们已经生产了超过50年。

是指代dangerous chemical pollutants，但后面的since不应该翻译成“因为”吧，个人认为是“自从”的意思，正好对应前面的现在完成时

翻过过来是：昆虫控制的工业化以及现代化的方法在提高了居住环境的同时带来了100，000多种的自从超过50年开始生产到现在，未受到管理的危险的化工污染物
