不知怎么判断A与B，意思不明白，所以选错了，请指点

之所以错有两个原因:

1.unlike要求比较对象要有可比性,但是urban areas和homesteading policies明显不可比;而B不用unlike而改为用but连接的两个独立句子,避免了unlike的要求.(这点同OG193)

2.A中缺少from which与where并列.

若无from which,则commuted和lived并列, 即...house where peasants

commuted to farmlands...这样表达意思含糊, 无法分清从哪里commuted到哪里.因此where不可以代替from which.
