我觉得B选项中的过去完成时使用是错误的，began翻译用的过去时，a work that had taken seven years to complete 过去完成时 这样就搞成了complete在began之前 过去的过去了，不符合逻辑意思吧
E选项是因为translating the Iliad, a work that had taken seven years to complete这个从句变成同位语从句修饰Iliad 改变了原句意思 但是对于pronounce后面加上了it这个问题也不是很懂，期待更清晰的解释！作者: my8822180001 时间: 2012-9-11 21:40
我也觉得可以用过去完成时这个点排除，因为改变了时间顺序，但是OG不提，我就担心排错了。。。
关于这个it，我说说我对四楼的理解，本来这个句子是第一个that从句that took him seven years to complete（that在从句中作主语）和第二个that从句that literary critic SJ ... pronouced...（that在从句中作宾语）并列的，都是修饰a work；
但是E选项去掉了that加上了it，如果还想要这个分句和第一个that从句平行的话，就意味着and的后面省略了一个that才能保持形式上的平行。但是在这里that指代a work，it也指代a work，重复指代了，这就不可能。所以推出A中literary critic...这个分句只能和主句Aleaxander Pope began his translation of the Iliad平行，从从句变成了主句，过分强调了~
