有一个地方不太懂,four times as many as there were four years ago在这里是什么成分呢?同位语吗?如果是同位语的话不是修饰前面最近的名词吗,那D和E为什么og的解释中说four times as many as...是修饰pupils呢?

后半句话的意思是每32个学生有一台电脑的这个量是4年前拥有电脑量的4
倍,因此four times as many as不是修饰学生的,而是和现在的电脑数量相比。

four times应该是作为前面one computer的同位语。只有这样逻辑意思才对,即four years before, every 32 students has only 1/4 computer.名词+介词结构,可以作为同位语。
