如果说gwd5-1这题选E没有太多争论了的话（曾经有人在考场上以身试法），那么我觉得gwd3-10的C选项可能比B选项好。因为从gwd5-1的E选项我们可以推知，be动词在单复数不同的情况下仍旧可以省略，那么在gwd3-10中的C选项，省略的单数的be动词也是可以接受的，而且在该题的C选项中or else是“否则”的意思，作用相当于连词，因此它表达的意思远比B选项的“were it to do so”来得清楚。请看Longman对or else的解释：

or else：used to say that there will be bad result if someone does not do something.

Hurry up or else we will miss the trains.
