有两点可以参考：
（1）was extended----passive voice 用的不对
（2）being， 用在这里 add nothing, 所以多余了，举个例子 Being heavily committed to acourse of action, especially one that has worked well in the past, is likely to make an executivemiss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they doappear.
这里如果把being去掉，那heavily committed to就缺少逻辑主语了
