这是我看的总结上的解释。。可是although的唯一词性是连词啊，连词是一定要加句子的不是么？

我记得有一个语法点是说条件、让步、时间状语从句是可以用连词+ing形式的~不过although+ing我见到的不是很多，最常见是while，while+doing表达“当……时”

这边其实不完全是although+doing的形式，正确的说应该是当although主句和从句的主语一致的时候，although的从句部分可以省略主语，在这边就变成了although accounting for了。。

既然补出后是Although (US citizens)accouns for only 5 percent of the world's population，那么为什么原句用了Althout accounting for 而不是 Although accounts for呢...
