conclusion is part of the argument. But if you can cast doubt on the
conclusion, you can weaken the argument.

argument means line of reasoning. It includes the premises and the conclusion.However, according to GMAT logic. Premises usually will remain untouchable. It means the author of the argument believes his conclusion is true based on the facts-premises. premises are facts that lead to conclusion. thus, when you see weaken the argument. you need to attack the conclusion.
