D为什么不对呢？cut in half 和cut to half 的区别是什么？
为什么B中要用while?我觉得应该直接用cutting....

cut in half 是 “切成两半”
cut to half 是 “减去一半，减成一半”
所以D的确不对。
但B似乎也不对啊。while cutting = while the mechanization of farming was cutting .....
但文中应该是强调的两个并列的结果，而不是说“当机械化降低成本的时候，使产量翻倍了”。
如果D中的cut in 改成cut to，那这个选项应该是最好的吧？

mechanization of farming比farming mechanization表达清晰。原文前半句用although..cost高了，所以后半句用while表示一定的对比意思。

第一题我来解释，of 的格式优先，所以DE降格，ABC中those有代表性，doing ...while doing 升格。B出现
第二题，我提出质疑，of ***'s 这种格式，我第一次见到正确的！

这个判断是对的~~~~
整个句子的意思是：
虽然有官员指出在中国农业方面用机械方法比用传统方法的成本要更多，但是某村用了机械方法后不但减少了一半成本，而且产量还翻倍~~~
cutting cost的是机械方法，即是 mechanization of farming
while表示对比~~~while cutting 回应前面的 that using~~
