1、意思
The plot f The Bostonians centers on the rivalry between Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, with her charming and cynical cousin, Basil Ransom, plot 主语，center on谓语，rivalry 宾语

when they find themselves drawn to the same radiant young woman (whose talent for publick speaking has won her(woman) an ardent following.)

2、her 只可能是指代 Olive

第一个her是指代Olive，但是第二个呢？好像就不是了，难道一个句子中her可以指代不同事物？

我觉得指代的是 the same radiant young woman

PS 如果对于整句理解的正确的话，整句的意思是指表妹和表哥同时喜欢一个女孩子。。。

plot做何解？
per Longman plot 解释:plan,story/film/,piece of land, drawing.
The Bostonians google了下，貌似没有这部电影，那应该作为一个正常的解释波士顿人，这样的话，难道做plan解，好像挺牵强的。
