背景知识
什么是金融工程（Financial Engineering）: 用数学模型和计算方法来建立金融市场模型，解决金融问题。

需要的背景：数学、计算机编程

未来的职业发展：主要是quantitative analyst，即quant。也有人去做trader，甚至IBD，sales，consulting等

学术背景：理工科PhD，MFE

NYU：Mathematics in Finance (Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences)

喜欢背景单纯的本科生
数学味道很浓
离华尔街超近

由4个学院合办，Tepper School of Business，Mathematical Sciences Department，Department of Statistics，Heinz College
一共有四轮，第一轮10月底截止，竞争会小一点
计算机牛校

统计系下，很学术，15-20%继续读PHD
在西海岸，毕业去洛杉矶、旧金山、回亚洲比较方便
弹性时间， 9个月、1年、1年半都可以

Princeton：Master in Finance (Bendheim Center for Finance)

其实并不是个很典型的MFE，感觉是MSF+MFE
“popular alternative to MBA”，大半有工作经验
每年从大陆招1~2个本科生

申请tips
PS：重中之重，convincing & relevant
推荐信：不要堆砌形容词
成绩单：数学课，编程课
简历：最好一页纸
TOEFL：普林貌似很看。。
GRE ：感觉不重要。。。
