答案是B，请问C为什么不对，OG解释说C不清楚，我觉得挺清楚的呀？？就是一省略嘛，求教

and 前后连接的内容在形式上要一致，如果选C，那么前面是个句子，后面则只是一个短语，

不符合语法习惯，而且forty-four percent是指什么的也不清楚

因为就是省略呀，补全了就是“ In 1973 mortgagepayments represented twenty-one percent of an average thirty-year-old male's income, and in 1984 mortgagepayments represented forty-four percent.”我觉得在其他题里见过这样的结构做正确选项，就是一时半会想不起来了。。。

觉得省略在gmat语法里用的不多，本身省略就是容易出现歧义的用法，在gmat语法那么强调书面语使用的前提下，省略最好不要经常考虑吧，而且英语的省略句重复的主语可以省，但是谓语动词感觉不应该省，但我也不确定。。。总之省略很容易出现歧义，少用。
