E选项确实没什么异议,是正确的,但是C选项为什么不对呢?
我的分析是,离赤道越远的国家LAW越有效,而现在拥有LAW的国家比美国离赤道要远,那就说明law在美国比较没有效,而effective换言之就是发生车祸的几率低,那么在美国发生车祸的机率就比在有law的国家要大。那么C就看似是对的啊
C 的错误是比较了和题目无关的东东,把两个国家的事故率放在一起比了,而
author真正想比较的是the effect of daytime headlight law.并不能因为
countries that have daytime headlight laws就推导出他们的proportion of
collisions就少过 US 了,事故的起因是有很多可能的,能见度只是其中之一。
只能说他们用daytime headlight的效果要好过 US, 也就是 E。
