我选了D 答案为E 后面的那部分"LONG-OVERDUE"到底是什么东东....

手蒙住答案看了会，我选的是E，我是在DvsE中二选一的

个人认为后面的long-overdue…… 在原文的意思是修饰“50年之后才颁发给african

american……”（类似于这些表彰来的太迟了）

选D的话，变成修饰了那个奖章了...

我不是高手，大家讨论，期待楼下的继续补充

E 正确

in recognition of 是固定用法，原文再在recognition前加了一个定语long overdue，

表明这种recognition来迟了

原题本来是soldiers were awarded xxx honor in recognition of their outstanding

bravery. 然后在recognition前加了一个定语，同时在xxx honor和in recognition之间

加了一个the nation's...作为同位语，修饰那个xxx honor
