answer (A), but a bit confused:
如果把（C）中最后的it 去掉(...too long for the eye to register), C选项是正确的吗？

这个题目我觉得还是选A,首先too...to...结构是一个整体中间最好不要加其他的成分.如果吧for the eye 放在register后面就不好说了

以下是Longman 的解释:
too ... for something/somebody
I was getting too old for romantic relationships.My boots were three sizes too big for me.
too ... to do something
He was too ill to travel.
too ... for somebody to do something
The box was too heavy for me to lift.
结合 A, eye register wavelength 的表达是可以的, 所以C 中去掉 it 似乎可行.
