The most common reasons for an employee's unwillingness to accept a transfer are (that mortgage rates are high, housing in the new location costs more, and the difficulty of selling the old home.)
a
b, that mortgage rates are high, housing in the new location costs more, and that it is difficult to sell the old home.
the right answer is a. what is the grammar defect of b?作者: pgclt 时间: 2002-9-13 21:02
my two cents: (b) needs to have a "that" in second that clause. and it cannot be omitted since the other two are present.
b. ... that mortgage rates are high, [that] housing in the new location costs more, and that it is difficult to sell the old home.
(a) may not be a perceft answer, but is probably the "better" one compared to other four choices.作者: raonx 时间: 2002-9-13 21:38
