答案选E, 我选的是C,看了大全注解说C是因为时态错了。但是was trust 不是发生在 was always aware 之前吗?为什么用过去完成时错？

还有就是后面的he was, 为什么是用he而不是he was 呢？

C和E的区别不只是时态上的问题,还有一个主被动的关系,C里的"been"

thrust在这里过去分词，词本意是to push or drive with force，没有人自己给自己force的，所以是被动。

本人做这道题和三楼分析一样，此题最显眼处是在考比较。但若大全说B错原因只是时态有点不明确，所以这句话的复杂之初就在套了多个从句,而原题都用了过去时,在没有明显的逻辑理由和时间线索,不能无根据地改变原句时态.如主句中: was always aware, 所以有可能自thrust的一刻就be aware了.
