D is wrong. 他现在lack in technical skill 怎么可能被他以前的the passion 来弥补呢??
能不能再版对一下答案?

恕我直言，此题我一看完所有的选项就选了D, 关键是make up for = compensate, 补偿的意思，make up 是化妆的意思

指时态,lack in technical 用的是现在时而was more than made up for 用的是过去时
