32. The Commerce Department announced that the economy grew during the second quarter at a 7.5 percent annual rate, while inflation eased when it might have been expected for it to rise.

A.it might have been expected for it to rise it

B.might have been expected to rise

C.it might have been expected that it should rise

D.its rise might have been expected

E.there might have been an expectation it would rise                                         Answer:B

D的解释是 Its rise is not parallel to inflation and introduces an awkward clause.

不太明白,when从句的主语是inflation吗?when在句子中是什么意思?

I have the same question for D. when reading OG.

Can any NN help out here? Thanks!

when 后面省了指代inflation的词,补充出来应该是 when inflation...所以D答案中加上个its就显得多余了
