Your admissions essay should give the application reader a sense of who you are and what you want to get out of the program. Here's how you can write an effective essay:
Use an illustrative example of an experience, and talk about how that experience informed your career choices.
Explain what it is that you want to get out of the program; we're more interested in self awareness than a recitation of the curriculum.
Tell us what you think, not what you think we want to hear. Ask yourself, "Does my voice come through?"
Your essay should reflect your passion and contributions, which the Commmittee views as an indication of what you're bringing to the table.
