I reckon the answer is E. A should not be the right answer because "each a roof" sounds awkward.

正是这个只代原因使得大部分with打头的选项在GMAT里都错

我认为这个题的答案是A，独立主格each （is) a roof of poles and arrowweed

应该选A吧，这道题我没有看题目，光看选项，用两个“技巧”就得到A

1.前半句描述整体特征，后半句描述个体特征；也就是all---,each---结构，所以句中应该用each，这是GMAT考点，出现过好多次；详见刘振民《GMAT语法改错精解》P199-200

2.being出现在GMAT语法改错中必为错误选项，除了极少数的介词+being+Ved；这个是“公理”

我用google查了each a +N的情况，还是不少的
